Privacy Policy

This policy explains what WagamamaMenuPrices.co.uk collects, what it does not, and what control you have. It is written to be read rather than skipped, and it describes what this site genuinely does, feature by feature.
Effective 01 July 2026
The Short Version
You can use this entire site without telling us who you are. We do not run accounts, mailing lists or trackers of our own. Three things do involve data: the ads Google serves, the ratings and comments you choose to submit, and the settings your own browser saves for the tools. Each is set out in full below.
Who We Are
WagamamaMenuPrices.co.uk is an independent information site about the wagamama menu. WagamamaMenuPrices.co.uk is an independent resource site. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to wagamama or The Restaurant Group plc. This policy covers this website only. If you follow a link from here to wagamama, a delivery service or anywhere else, that site's own policy takes over the moment you arrive.
Information You Give Us
There are exactly three ways to send us anything, and all three are voluntary.
- Rating a dish. We record the star value, which dish, and the time. We do not record who you are, because we do not know.
- Leaving a comment. We record what you wrote, the page you wrote it on, the time, and the display name you typed if you typed one. A name is optional; comments without one show as "Guest". Please do not put personal information, an address or a phone number in a comment, because comments are public.
- Emailing us. If you use the contact page, your own mail app sends the message and we receive whatever you chose to include. The form itself has no server behind it; it composes an email and hands it to your mail client.
Where Ratings and Comments Are Stored
Ratings and comments are stored in a database hosted by Supabase, which is our data processor for this purpose. Each row holds the content, the page or dish it belongs to, and a timestamp. There is no user table, no password, no email column and no IP column, because the site never asks for those things.
Comments are moderated before they appear. We may decline or remove one that is spam, abusive, off-topic, or that publishes someone's personal information. That is a judgement about the content, not about you.
Spam Protection
The comment and contact forms show a Cloudflare Turnstile widget. Turnstile is a privacy-focused alternative to a traditional CAPTCHA: Cloudflare examines technical signals about the request, such as browser characteristics, to judge whether it is automated. Cloudflare processes that data as described in its own privacy policy. It does not ask you to solve puzzles and it does not track you across other sites.
Advertising and Cookies
This site is funded by advertising, served by Google AdSense and its partners. That is the main way third-party data processing happens here, so it is worth setting out plainly.
- Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on this site.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You can opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies at aboutads.info or Your Online Choices.
- Where required, a consent notice appears before non-essential cookies are set, and your choice there governs what runs.
We do not control which specific ads appear and we do not receive the personal data behind them. What we see is aggregate performance: impressions and revenue, with no individual attached.
What Your Browser Stores
The tools on this site save your work in your own browser, using localStorage. This data never leaves your device and we cannot read it. Clearing your browser data removes all of it.
| Stored as | What it holds | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
wm:rated:<dish> | The star rating you gave a dish | Stops the same browser rating one dish repeatedly, and shows your own star back to you | Until you clear site data |
wagamama-meal-plan | The week you built in the meal planner, and your budget | So your plan survives a refresh or a closed tab | Until you clear the plan or clear site data |
wm:<dish>:ing / :step | Which recipe ingredients and steps you have ticked off | So you do not lose your place while cooking | Until you clear site data |
wm:lastComment | When you last posted a comment | Rate-limits comment posting, which is the site's first line against spam | Until you clear site data |
Analytics and Server Logs
We do not run Google Analytics or any equivalent analytics platform on this site. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, as every web host does, typically recording the request, a timestamp, a user agent and an IP address. These exist for security and reliability, are not used to build a profile of you, and are not combined with anything else on this page.
Children
This site is a general information resource about restaurant menus and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has submitted something here, contact us and we will remove it.
Your Rights
Under UK GDPR you have rights over personal data held about you, including access, correction, erasure, restriction and objection. In practice this site holds very little that could identify anyone: a comment with a name you chose, or an email you sent us.
To exercise any of these rights, email info@wagamamamenuprices.co.uk. Tell us what you want removed and roughly where, since without accounts that is how we find it. We will act within one month. If you believe we have handled your data badly, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Data Retention and Transfers
Comments and ratings are kept while the page they belong to exists, because they are part of what visitors come to read. Emails are kept for as long as the matter is open and then deleted. Our processors, including Google, Supabase and Cloudflare, may process data outside the UK; each operates its own safeguards for international transfers under its terms.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, the effective date at the top changes with it. That date is fixed to the policy text and is not the site's rebuild date, so it will not move on its own. Significant changes will be described here rather than slipped in.
Contact
Questions about this policy, or a request about your data, go to info@wagamamamenuprices.co.uk, or through the contact page.
