£5.40Jubel Peach Lager
craft lager cut with fruit to refresh. served over ice

hoppy + citrussy with a refreshing finish
Contains: cereals containing gluten, barley, wheat
Wagamama serves Camden pale ale at £5.30, the hop forward bottle of the beer list: Camden Town Brewery's citrusy pale, the London craft standard, and the beer this site recommends beside the katsu plates. Published price, vegan marked, no calorie figure published by wagamama.
Pale ale's hop bitterness and citrus lift do something lager cannot beside fried food: they stand next to the crumb and sauce rather than simply rinsing them, flavour running alongside flavour. Camden's version keeps the bitterness civilised, which suits a menu where chilli is often already at the table.
Against the list it is the character order, Asahi the palate reset, jubel the sweet tool, and the choice between them maps the meal: katsu and fried plates here, firecracker heat toward the sweeter bottles. Vegan marked, as the whole bottle list is.
